Catholic Charities West Virginia (CCWVa) has announced Recovery Point Charleston – Women’s Facility as the 2025 Charity in Action Award Honoree. A Luncheon was held on May 16th at Saint John XXIII Pastoral Center in Charleston, West Virginia to present the Charity In Action Award.


“Our Charity in Action Award honors charitable persons and groups for their devotion to the service of others,” said Joe Sparksman, CCWVa Western Regional Director.
Recovery Point West Virginia provides long-term residential recovery programs based on the social model of recovery, along with drop-in coaching and transitional housing at The Point Café and The Point Apartments. Following the 12-Step model of Alcoholics Anonymous, these programs support lasting sobriety. Additionally, Recovery Point WV offers free, board-recognized Peer Recovery credential training for those seeking certification. Committed to fostering hope and recovery, the organization continues to strengthen support networks across West Virginia.

Funds raised through the event support CCWVa’s programs and services in Western West Virginia.
