Case Management – Supportive Services

At Catholic Charities West Virginia, we offer supportive services and walk alongside our clients in their journeys, empowering individuals and families to work toward their own unique goals.

Our professional service specialists build one-on-one relationships with clients, providing personalized attention and care. Together, they identify areas of need, set meaningful goals, and develop a plan to achieve them. This collaborative partnership is grounded in a strengths-based approach, which means we focus on each person’s inherent strengths, talents, and lived experiences—rather than just their challenges. Clients are seen as the experts in their own lives, and we honor their resilience and capacity for growth.

Using this approach, we help clients build confidence and hope as they reduce barriers to success. Our supportive services often include assistance with securing stable and affordable housing, finding meaningful employment, obtaining reliable transportation, arranging quality child care, and much more. We also help individuals access public benefits, community resources, and spiritual support when requested.

In addition to emotional and practical support, our service specialists can provide limited financial assistance to help clients overcome obstacles that might otherwise prevent progress. This can include help with rent, utility payments, transportation needs, and other essentials—always tailored to each client’s unique situation. We are able to do this with the help of many of our community partners, such as, DHHR.

By walking with our clients every step of the way, we aim to create lasting change and empower individuals to build stronger, healthier, and more self-sustaining lives. Our supportive services reflect our deep commitment to the belief that every person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.
