Disaster Services
Our Disaster Services program provides help to people in West Virginia when disasters strike. This includes both natural disasters (e.g. floods) and personal household disasters (e.g. house fire). We strive to return people to safe, secure, and stable housing.
Natural Disasters
When natural disasters occur in West Virginia, we connect families to needed resources and help them to determine appropriate next steps toward recovery.
Catholic Charities West Virginia takes a lead role in the disaster recovery process with a focus role of long-term recovery. We partner with schools, businesses, churches, and other agencies to help ensure a smooth recovery process.
Household Disasters
As funding permits, Catholic Charities can provide some financial assistance to families that have experienced a household disaster such as a fire. Documentation of the disaster is required.
